Family and Children’s Services is a non-profit child welfare agency dedicated to the well-being of the children and families of Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Our head office is located in Windsor at the eastern end of the Annapolis Valley. A branch office in Shubenacadie serves the east side of our county.

Hants County is a growing area with a population of 40,000, located less than one hour from Halifax.

Our sister agency, Mi’kmaq Family and Children’s Services, serves First Nations children living on reservations in Hants County.

Everyone in Nova Scotia is required by law to report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect to a child welfare agency.
