Tree of Hope Program
This program is in response to those who enjoy being involved in the gift
purchasing for children 12 years old and under. A child’s wish is placed on tags
and hung on designated Christmas trees, throughout Hants County. (Using fictious
names.) You or your group selects a tag and records the tag in the record book
located on the tree. The donor purchases the gift and returns the gift,
unwrapped, to the tree. Family and Children’s Services then collects the gifts
and deliver them to the families during the last week before Christmas.
This program has become very popular and continues to grow each year.
You can obtain information as to where the trees are displayed each year by
calling Family & Children’s Services of Hants County at 798-2289.
